An absolute blast of a ‘rock n’ roll’ ride that you just won’t want to get off!
Daisy Jones & The Six
From the moment Daisy walked barefoot on to the stage at the Whisky, she and the band were a sensation. Their sound defined an era. Their albums were on every turntable. They sold out arenas from coast to coast.
This is the story of their incredible rise: the desire, the rivalry – and the music.
Then, on 12 July 1979, Daisy Jones and the Six split up.
Nobody knew why. Until now…

This book was so much fun and exciting to read! It isn’t like any book I’ve read before and the best way to describe it would be as though you’ve got the subtitles on for a Netflix documentary and then wrote them down in a book.
The book is split up into sections, based on the year or what tour/album they were on. As mentioned above the writing style isn’t like your typical book, and each person speaking is in bold, as they detail their time in the band.
I was immediately swept up into the drama of it, pretty much as though I was watching it. I loved all the characters, Daisy was wild, but I especially loved Karen and could picture them all sat being interviewed, reminiscing about their life in a rock and roll band. It was also interesting how each character saw a particular event in a completely different way.
There was plenty of big moments for all the characters which made it a real page turner for me and I had no idea how it was going to end. Speaking of the end (no spoilers of course) but there was a nice little, shock/twist, when you find out who is interviewing them! It really helped to tie the whole book up I thought.
I really can’t say much more other than you must read this! I adored it from the very start, I loved the characters and I just wanted the book to last longer. I feel I could have read so much more about their partying and tours. They even have all the song lyrics at the back of the book, it was just absolute perfection and I am very excited for the TV series now!
