Nick: Failed writer. Failed husband. Dog owner.

Bee: Serial dater. Dress maker. Pringles enthusiast.

One day, their paths cross over a misdirected email. The connection is instant, electric. They feel like they’ve known each other all their lives.

Nick buys a new suit, gets on a train. Bee steps away from her desk, sets off to meet him under the clock at Euston station.

Think you know how the rest of the story goes? They did too . . .

But this is a story with more twists than most. This is Impossible.

Review

Rating: 5 out of 5.

I’m struggling to put into words just how truly wonderful this book is – without any doubt this is one of my top 10 books of 2022 and quite possibly will be one of my favourite books of all time (Yes I said it)!

Firstly the fact that I was more than ugly crying (full on sobbing) by the end means it is an instant 5 stars, but this story is so much more than just about making you cry.

This is a story shrouded in mystery, the mystery being I cannot tell you much about the plot because everyone needs to go into this without knowing a damn thing because only then will you fully appreciate the absolute mind blowing twist which happens very early on in the book.

You’d think with a twist that epic being revealed early on that it would ruin the book, but it doesn’t. The twist is needed early to then fully help explore both Nick & Bee and just how they go about navigating this strange new relationship. (That’s all I’m saying on the matter.)

Speaking of Nick and Bee, they are two of the best characters I’ve ever read about. Every credit to the author who managed to create two brilliant individuals that you will instantly adore, this is definitely helped with the fantastic email exchanges between them both which felt so authentic and I think that’s why it was so easy to fall in love with both of them.

I could quite easily talk about this book forever. When I wasn’t reading it I found I was thinking about Nick & Bee and couldn’t wait to jump back in and now that I’ve finished it I want nothing more than to read it again – I miss them basically!

Overall this was one of the most unique love stories I have ever read, one that was impossible to put down and one that will be impossible to forget – a stunning masterpiece from Sarah Lotz!
