Description
When Bree, Mikki and Ashley open The Boardwalk Bookshop on the Californian coast it is a dream come true. But while their business is thriving, their personal lives are not.
Bree has sworn to protect her heart at all costs, until an unexpected meeting with a bestselling author changes everything. Mikki has never moved on from her divorce, but knows something must change. And Ashley’s wedding fantasy is shattered when she discovers her boyfriend never wants to get married.
Every Friday the three friends meet on the beach in front of the bookshop to toast the sunset. Here, as their bond grows closer, they will challenge each other to not only face their fears but fight for what they have always wanted in life, and love.
Review
This is a story about three women, their lives, their loves, their friendship and one, that by the end of it, will have you longing to be sat on a beach with your own girlfriends, drinking champagne and enjoying the sun!
Each of the characters were brilliantly written and the author did a fantastic job of bringing these three women to life, to the point where I really connected with them and they felt like my very own friends. Each of the women’s situations were completely different but very authentic, with each helping the other.
This is the second book I’ve read by Susan Mallery and it definitely won’t be my last. She gets it just right, mixing the perfect amount of romance and friendship to create a delightful and easy read that will warm your heart.
